Seventy two uniquely different variations of Solitaire not seen in many other games keep even the most seasoned guru occupied. Statistics for each game let you know how many hours you have played, games you have won and your highest score for that game. Great game for a freebie!
Love playing the Double Clanfield game from the plethora of games on offer in the main menu, in fact I rarely play any other, so, for me, it’s great. I don’t find the adverts too obtrusive, I realise that the developers have to make their money somehow, but at least they aren’t ful-page style, just a banner across the game page. Would I recommend it? Yes, and I haven’t played many of the games on offer yet, and am looking forward to doing so!
Enjoy the app but ...
I enjoy using this app, mainly playing full deck solitaire. I find it a little frustrating as it does things I don’t expect such as putting a card on a heap I don’t necessarily want it on. For example, in a column I might have a red King and Queen. In another column I might have a single red Queen. When I click the red Jack in a third colum it puts it on the single queen when surely the purpose of the game is to build a suit. It’s a nice game but not always as intuitive as I might like or expect. I would still recommend the game and it was good to find one in the app store to replace the free game I had with windows previously.
No clue on design / implementation
Depending on the game you’re playing, the UX is apalling. Huge amounts of stupid wasted space, and then the cards are so crowded they vanish off the bottom of the screen.
On-screen ‘buttons’ respond to a mouse pointer being dragged over it (despite the click event happening no where near it) which means when trying to move some of these cards that are vanishing off the bottom of the screen (where a stupid ‘toolbar’ is fixed) resets the game!
Despite repeated polite emails highlighting many bugs to the ‘support’ contacts, no reply was given and no updates have been forthcoming.
The layout doesn’t even scale correctly ie. if you make the window narrower the cards don’t resize / scale, instead you lose them off the side. Same for height.
It does give you the option to change the size of the cards (big/small) but the small is apallingly small, and the large, whilst readable means that because of the crazy amount of wasted space, you can’t see most of the cards when in stacks (playing Spider 4).
Don’t spend money here.
